Vol 7. Forbidden Fruit Launch Party

Join Cake Zine for a night of readings, dancing, and dessert celebrating the launch of our seventh issue, Forbidden Fruit, at Honey’s in Brooklyn on September 18.

We are offering two tiers of tickets: A smaller reading at 7:30 p.m., with a larger party to follow at 8:30 p.m. Please base your arrival time accordingly!

Reading programing includes:

• Readings by Aamina Khan, Osama Shehzad, Grayson Samuels, and Ankit Sethi
• Free dessert inspired by the issue: Fantastical fruit cakes from Taipei’s Fu Cakes
• And entry to the party after…

Party programing includes:

• DJ sets by Rachel and Meilgaarden
• Free dessert inspired by the issue: A truly giant pie featuring the finest Natoora produce and Plugrà butter from pastry chef Amanda Perdomo

• Magazines for purchase, including first copies of Forbidden Fruit and final copies of the now sold-out Daily Bread

Reading doors will be at 7 p.m., party doors at 8:15 p.m. This event is 21+.
